Owner/barman's personality strongly reflected in this 19th century pub. He loves beer, and this is a place to drink good beers. He is usually to be found sitting outside the door, sharing a few with friends. Pub is a Paix Dieu Ambassadeur, so try this excellent, rich 10% abv quadruple from Cistercian monks. Served in the official lopsided glasses.

The white beer is absolutely perfect. Delicious and hits the spot on a summers day. I really liked the inside it had a very unique feel to it. There is outdoor seating which is great. Staff are nice enough and the prices are average. Definitely having that beer again soon.
Lovely cafe in this lovely town
Original brown café in the heart of the fortified town of Naarden. Over 50 brands of Belgium and Dutch beers. Unfortunately no Heineken. Also do a boat tour through the canals of Naarden, it will really take you back to the 17th century.
Local pub with good beer and outside seating to watch the world go by.
