Small but very entertaining museum. Lots of things to do for kids, nice exposition on Comenius life for elder kids and adults. Tomb in the beautiful chapel. Exceeded the expectations - really-really nice and heartwarming place. Keep on doing great job! English language materials available across the museum

Fifty years ago, in 1968, the 'Prague Spring' abruptly ended because of the brotherly help from the communist neighbours of Czechoslovakia. Quite a number of people choose to live in exile, by which the followed the example of Jan Amos Comenius, a pansophist pedagogue, who is buried in the church that is now part of the Comenius museum. Actually, this church happens to be Czechoslovak (Czech) territory. People who fled for the communist repression still could set a foot on Czechoslovak ground here. It's a nice tiny museum in the beautiful setting of the star shaped fortifications of Naarden Vesting.
