There is a lovely atmosphere & the people are very friendly. You can book a table upstairs for lunch in a lovely room that over looks the Race Course. Very well organized and easy to travel to

This racecourse is on the outskirts of my hometown. It is 18 miles from Dublin and it is the venue for many flat racing, hurdle and fence events. Kildare is the headquarters of the Irish racing industry. Training and breeding of horses is a major industry in the county. There are three major racecourses in Kildare. The Curragh is the biggest of these and is known throughout the racing world as a major flat racing venue. Punchestown is next and is the home of national hunt racing. Naas race-course is the smaller of the three. Naas racecourse is used by many trainers to get horses used to the raceday environment. It has a testing uphill finish and is regarded as a challenging racecourse. This is an old racecourse, the first race was hosted in 1924. Some very famous horses ran this course: Ragusa in 1963 and also Arkle. (as Arkle is somewhat of an Irish legend ) My father once told me that Naas racecourse was the punters graveyard, but I don't have the statistics !!! From Dublin, the racecourse can be easily accessed on the M7. There are two entrances one from the Dublin Road and the other from the Naas area. Naas holds day and evening meetings. Parking facilities are very good, disability access excellent. There is a well equiped childrens play area. and several restaurants. The latest addition is the circle bar and restaurant. Toilet facilities are good and well maintained. In addition to horse racing, Naas racecourse is the current venue of the parkrun. The parkrun is a 5km run - it's you against the clock. Every Saturday at 9:30am. The event takes place in Naas Racecourse, Tipper Road. Naas. It cost nothing. Just turn up !!!
