Small little museum that's 2 floors. You enter with a ticket of 160yen, and you can to see a lot of traditional tools, artifacts, the faun and flora of the area. Not very expensive and worth a quick stop by if you have time

The museum is closed for renovation until 2020. It was closed so that they can solve problems like deterioration of the building and insufficient parking space. A new museum is scheduled to be completed in 2022, Google maps did not indicated this info and we walked all the way from Nago City Office bus stop.

This is one museum which has always been a favorite of mine. Besides all the interesting historical and cultural assets, they have staff who are always helpful, in making new discoveries, outside the walls of their building. At times, they have gone to the trouble of drawing maps, to assist in finding locations, faraway in the mountains of Nago. Museum staff, don't get any better than that.

This museum had a lot to offer about Okinawa history. The displays are a bit outdated but they get the point across. Lots of educational exhibits to peruse.
