I loved making my little shisa! The lady working was so kind and helpful, and I really enjoyed my time there. The location is quite out of the way if you are relying on public transport. But if you can drive yourself, I would highly recommend visiting to make yourself a unique souvenir from Okinawa! There are also a number of items available for sale as souvenirs or gifts.

Booked for pottery lesson, it was a really bad experience. You get to do two different things, and choose one to be baked afterwards. The girl in charge instead of explaining how to do it, she was doing it using my torn. So the first mug was almost completely done by her. The second one I did it by myself but she moved it and smashed it on the wooden table. Definitely not recommended.
Different workshops available: painting a ready made 風獅爺, make one yourself, or both; pottery classes etc. This one that I have gone for is available to takeaway the same day (1 hour to make this model, and 10 minute baking time), hence it is very convenience for tourists to bring these home). As you can see at the back of the photo, there is a pile of 風獅爺 in different style/pose, so you can duplicate that model or use it as a reference. Reasonable priced workshop with a complimentary drink

Really nice place and good welcoming ! A really good idea to do this activity ! So cool, funny and love artistic and manual activities ! We make and painted Shisa ! A bit expensive even with the reduction with the online reservation but a real pleasure to do it ! And the offer us a really good drink and à present at the end !

教え方もめちゃくちゃ丁寧で楽しくできました。 やちむん作り初心者の方はぜひ。おすすめです。
