This place is a local legend and definitely don't miss their Zensai (iced is my favorite) and Taiyaki fresh off the grill! Very reasonably priced and super friendly service. The old man making the Taiyaki looks like a master!!! Arigato Gosai Masu!
Red bean ice, not too sweet, very delicious!
This little shop serves Okinawan soba and shaved ice and is clearly popular with the locals. The ice zenzai (traditional Japanese sweet red bean soup) is amazing and piled high. Close to a small beach and some historical shrines, temples, and WWI monuments (as well as a drinking district, so watch out for really plastered old men if you go any time after noon).
