Nice Gurudwara Sahib in the memory of Guru Sahib. The place has no place of parking as the Chogan or the ground nearby is enclosed in boundary wall leaving no place of parking for the sangat. Likewise the open area in front of Gurdwara Paonta sahib has been converted into bounded playground which belongs to gurudwara sahib. This shows the intentions of HP Govt towards Sikh places.

it is one of the historical monuments and also because the 10th Guru of sikh shree Guru Gobind singh ji spent couple of months here. On invitation by King Medini Prakash of Sirmaur state, Sri Guru Gobind Rai Sahib Ji, the 10th Guru, reached Nahan, the then capital city of Sirmaur state on 17 Vaisakh in Samvat 1742 Bikrami (1685). Guru Ji reached there with all of his family members and lots of Sikhs.
History behind Gurdwara sahib - On invitation by King Medini Prakash of Sirmaur state, Sri Guru Gobind Rai Sahib Ji, the 10th Guru, reached Nahan, the then capital city of Sirmaur state on 17 Vaisakh in Samvat 1742 Bikrami (1685). Guru Ji reached there with all of his family members and Sikhs. The place where Guru Ji lived during his stay in Nahan city is not far from fort of Nahan, the residence of King Medini Prakash. A Gurdwara Sahib, Gurdwara Sri Dashmesh Asthan Patshahi 10, has been built on that place. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is installed exactly on the place, where King of Kings, Sri Guru Gobind Rai Sahib used to sit on his throne. King Medini Prakash built a ‘Borha’ (small well) to fulfill water requirement of Guru Ji’s camp. This historic ‘Borha’ still exists. Important - Bhai jee at gurdwara sahib explains the above story of guru jee in person and also show around the gurdwara. The pics of which you see in attachment. Gurdwara being on narrow street, Parking is tricky and policewomen posted there on duty do not allow you to park in front of Gurdwara, as it stops the flow of traffic. You can park the vehicle near govt. School which is nearby and at walking distance.
