Fab morning yesterday at this lovely gem. Although didn’t get inside, the grounds walled gardens were beautiful .. beautifully manicured and helpful staff. Still open to have a coffee and cake.

A nice place, well kept and tidy, very photogenic. Don't expect to spend more than an hour or two here though, especially during lockdown with the castle itself shut.
It‘s still not possible to visit the interior of the Castle at this time. But...in case you like beautiful gardens this is a recommendable place. Perhaps quite a bit expensive though we enjoyed our stay. Coffee and cakes are tasty, staff is kind. Thx!
Only the grounds, shop and cafe were open but not the house as yet due to covid restrictions. Having said that though the grounds were well worth the visit and immaculately kept. The walk by the river was really lovely with the sun shining on the peaty fast flowing river, we got some great photos. Had lunch in the cafe which was very tasty. The castle looks spectacular so will definitely have to some back to see inside. What a place to live!
Fantastic castle and the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The interior is well kept and the history is amazing. Take a stroll on the walking trail behind the castle; it is incredibly peaceful. Was looking forward to the maze, but it was unfortunately closed. Definitely recommend a visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the castle. Do not miss the gardens and wild garden trail with river below. Beyond spectacular! Nice cafe & 2 shops!
Visited in August 2020 it was sunny and a lovely walk from the car park to the grounds. Just like a fairy tale castle and the gardens were in full bloom with so much to see very well looked after. Sculptures on display in the gardens. Lovely tea rooms and a place to relax. Quint little village. Nairn beech just up the road for a bit of dolphin spotting. Culloden not far closed at the time we visited but that was to expected. Bronze age/ stone age burial stones and mounds near, I would highly recommend a visit, thought's that gave it rubbish ratings as my grand children would say GET A LIFE. Fab day.
Large car park, easy to find. Beautiful castle - I highly recommend reading the room notes in each room (or buying the guide book, which contains all the notes), because whoever wrote them has a wicked sense of humour! Gardens are stunning. The old kitchen took you straight back in time. We had a lovely, inexpensive lunch of soup and sandwiches. The highlight , of course, is the grounds.
