Mji wa Huruma is a home for the aged under the family welfare section run by the Nairobi city council. The home has two wings,the male wing and the female wing. If you would like to visit and spend time with the aged,all you have to do is inquire from the office (on the ground). I had an opportunity of interacting with one of the aged and learnt a lot about their golden days. Tales of their childhood,where they went to school, their teenage years etc. I can almost guarantee you will learn a thing or two from them. They say in Swahili, "Penye wazee hapokosi jambo" loosely translates to "where old people are, you can't lack some words".
