This is a great little izakaya in the Pontocho area of Kyoto. There is a raised platform where you are seated but you leave your shoes on the ground. There are tatami mats and cushions for you to sit around a low table...traditional Japanese way of seating. The food is great and the service is friendly. Although they have your common izakaya selections, there are a few items that you may not see at others. I would high recommend this place.
