I’m a small business owner in Nanaimo who was searching for a law firm to work with for an incorporation. I asked for referrals through facebook, as well as went through my accountant’s referrals. I reached out to each referral with a list of questions. I’m the kind of person who wants to understand the why in a way that makes sense to me, so I like someone with patience to walk me through until I understand. I went with Ian Gove of Heath Law as, out of all of the referrals, he did this. He booked a zoom call and took me through everything until I understood it. He’s also answered every question along the way that I’ve had. Other places didn’t get back to me at all and/or if they did, it was an assistant who booked a time with me and then that person couldn’t answer my questions so 2-3 appointments later, I was “maybe” going to get time with the actual lawyer. I felt like an equal with Ian. I felt like I wasn’t worthy of the person who could actually answer my questions time at the other places.

I had some estate complications and technicalities I needed sorted out and was referred to Heath Law by another in-town firm. The major issues I was dealing with were clarified with a very short consultation. I'm almost mad I didn't come to them first. I am very satisfied with this firm's work so far.
The Gentleman we dealt with went over and above during our 1 hr consultation. He reviewed our information carefully and fairly heard us out. Took a realistic approach and showed us full support.
