Jennifer Jayde Photography Before I explain how amazingly gifted this photographer is, I want to share with you, the public my warm thoughts about the woman behind the lens. Jennifer was recommended to me by a mutual close friend who's taste never strays from anything but brilliant. When meeting Jennifer for the first time it was like we had been friends forever. I know that sounds silly but that's the truth. She was so kind and wonderful and had so much personality that we instantly clicked. I genuinely believe we crossed paths for a reason. Over the future months we had a few meetings about the direction we wanted our wedding photos to go in and I honestly was a bit stuck. I had never gotten married before ?? what were the right poses and photo configurations ?? what kind of lighting would have me looking my best on my big day ?? Having faith in the experience, I trusted Jenn's expertise and the photos turned out to be nothing short of amazing. She was so much fun on the day of our wedding and she genuinely felt like part of the family. If I could get married once a year I would just so Jennifer could take some more spectacular photos. If you want high quality wedding photography and the personality to go with it Jennifer Jayde Photography will not fall short, even though she's a little bit tinier then me and I'm 5'3 on a good day. I was drawn instantly to Jennifer's unique and edgy pictures when doing an internet search for local options for our wedding. When I first met with her to arrange our photographer, I knew she was the one. Jennifer is organized and professional but also has a humble and down to earth way about her that makes a client feel comfortable. She invites suggestions and is open to meeting the needs of her clients while adding in her own feedback. Her attention to detail brings focus because in the moment, you may not have thought it mattered, but afterward you will be thrilled. At our wedding, she blended with the crowd, not only because she subtly captured candid moments behind the scenes but also because she has a charismatic way to mingle with others and become a guest rather then a staff at your event. And the photos - WOW! I think the biggest challenge we have had since our wedding is trying to decide which ones to frame. My husband and I selected one of our favorites and had it blown up. When we went to pick it up there was literally a crowd of staff members who came to ask us all about our wedding and were so intrigued, just from that photo. It may seem cliche, but the words are true - many people come together to pull off the perfect wedding day but it really is the photographer who will make or break an accurate depiction of that day for all years to come. Jennifer was a great choice for us because her pictures didn't just record the memory, they told the story of us.

Jennifer is firstly an amazing woman, she is so warm, friendly, caring and easy-going. It is so easy to work with her, you feel as though you have known her for more than the few times you've actually met. It makes you very comfortable in front of her camera, because it is not as though you have a stranger with you but a wonderful friend. Her passion for photography and specifically wedding photography is obvious, and it shows through in her work. Jennifer Jayde is absolutely amazing! My husband and I got married in March of this year and upon searching for a photographer we came across Jen’s website. Once we saw Jen’s work, my husband and I both knew that we had to have her photograph our big day! We also ended up booking an engagement shoot with her as well. Our photos turned out beautifully. We actually had so many wonderful shots that we had a very hard time choosing which photos to develop. Jen really has a passion for wedding photography and a talented eye. After searching all of Vancouver Island for a photographer, that I felt would portray our love story on film, my husband and I found Jen. We had some friends mention Jen's name so we quickly went online to see some of her work and read a little bit about who she is. After viewing almost every picture on her website we contacted her for a meeting. It is rare to find a photographer where there isn't one picture in their portfolio that you don't like, we found that with Jen. Meeting her far exceeded our expectations, she immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed. We did an engagement shoot with Jen shortly after to warm up to the idea of being in front of a camera and it only confirmed our decision. By the time our wedding day came not only did I feel confident in Jen's ability but I also felt like we were in the company of a friend. Jen was the photographer for our wedding in July of this year. Also, she did an engagement shoot for us leading up to the big day. She even took the time to meet with us at our home while we were still in the decision-making stage of which photographer to hire from our short list. At every stage Jen was the consummate professional and perfectly present while not being intrusive or in the way. Jen made us feel comfortable and relaxed which was very important to Leslie and I throughout the process. As for the pictures - well, they are terrific. We love the work that Jennifer did for us and we will cherish the photos forever. One thing I would like to mention about Jen is that she is a true student of photography and thus is always learning and improving. Some of the photographers we came across seemed stuck in their ways and that deterred us; that said, we still wanted a classic documentation of our wedding and she delivered on every level.
