Beautiful views from the point. We always see sea lions and other wildlife. It's a popular hike.

Easy walk about 6km, about an hour and half to do. Sometimes there can be sea lions at Dodds Narrows. Great trail for families.

Patrick Linder

Great walk, it’s fun to watch the boats struggle through Dodd Narrows.

The extension from Cable Bay trail. A sometimes narrow, single track, along the edge of the shore, some steep drops, cliffs, roots, and rocks but the wildlife viewing is seldom disappointing with otters, seals, sea lions, bald eagles, herons, kingfishers...and occasionally (but very rare) orca. The tidal surge through the narrows is always entertaining to watch boats come through. Trail head parking can be crowded during the summer, especially on sunny weekends.
