once you get inside, the staff is fast and helpful ! there are many copying machunes for 0.1 (black and white) and 0.3 (with colors).You can also take 4 pictures with photomaton with 3 euros !! BUT, IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AN APPOINTMENT !! You have to open the wesbite everyday and check !! you should open it before 5 months from your visa expiration ! do not say it's too early !!! take the appointment as early as you can or you will end up without a visa !

Luckily, I have no issues with Nanterre Prefacture for last 2 times. If you have all the documents, things are little smooth.

Although the system is a bit broken at this time with having to stand in line to just make an appointment. (Online system is down currently) After knowing this we arrived hours early, 5:30am. Waited in line. The line is covered from rain and rock wall to sit on. The guards were polite and informative. Helped get people quicky as possible through security and into the building. Ticket numbers were quickly called. The man we met with was very nice, even spoke English. Worked with us on an securing an appointment date and time in the near future. He gave us all of the information we needed to have a successful appointment. Thank You.

Very professional and helpfull staff. The only downside is that there aren't enough time slots available on their website. Once you have a 'rendezvous', you're in good hands. One of the best prefectures I have ever visited in France.

Very rude staff specially the security that will even treath you to be prosecuted if you dont comply, they will not listen even so the service is too slow, and then they will direct you to get an appointment online on their website which does not really work. Good luck if you are able to. Very frustrating as you can not do what you need for a one time visit. This is my 12th time to be here for my drivers liscence yet nothing is done. You have to find a way by yourself no one will help you out except for fellow etrangers who find their way and succeeded. A very good example of beureaucracy. There must be a corruption happening here. Unbelievably misserable place. This is a shame for France.

They tell you to book an appointment online to renew your card but they wont open thé slots to book the appointments.. Checking for slots has become a fulltime occupation. Its like there is someone delibaletly trying to frustrate immigrants

I just want to ask the question for how to do get a new visa because my old passport has been stolen. But it seems everyone working here are as much stupid as you can imagine to answer a question which they should know and I seems to be owned them billions euros so they went mad with no reason even before I start to ask. So i need to wake up at 6:00 waiting in the line to get a fvcking ticket to ask a question. What a great policy.
