I have been working with Jim and Distinctive Dental Studios since I moved back to Illinois in 1991(28 years) and have been in practice for forty . Their work is superb and exactly what I ask for. Remakes are nearly nonexistent and if there is one it's usually my fault anyway. Delivery appointments are sweet! Contacts, margins, occlusion, anatomy and esthetics are all the best. Communication with the lab is always immediately available and efficient and custom shades on difficult cases is available at the lab with great eyes and saves a lot of headaches, especially on single anterior matching. From single crowns to the most complicated implant restorative cases to dentures and partials and everything in between, they deliver nothing but quality and professionalism. If you want one lab with highest quality work and people, look no further.
After dental school, I moved back into the Chicagoland area and knew finding a good lab was important. When I began working with DDS I knew I had found a great lab. Their staff is always friendly, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable. Their communication is unparallel and their willingness to discuss cases is always appreciated. Aside from their communication, their quality and attention to detail makes for many successful cases.
I love them! I use BruxZir in the posterior and either Empress or eMax Pressed in the anterior. Beautiful, predictable results. They make me look good. They have an area at their office to provide custom shading for patients willing to go in. I am pleased with their removable prostho and if it is a mixed case where a crown needs to fit a partial, the different parts of the lab work together and make the case go in easily. Best of all, they are some of the nicest, well educated and thoughtful people. They are a delight to work with and I cannot express how much I respect them and their work.
