This place needs to be shut down. I would not take my dog to this place. RUN. I would take a loved one to McDonald's in an emergency rather than this horror show.

Love it here!
Hospitality on point, no pun. This is a truly incredible place to come to heal and recover. The staff is incredibly kind and just exudes that Florida warm welcome. You are in good hands and safe care here, and the feeling is indelible the moment you enter. I moved in October with no family around. But here at NCH Baker Hospital, you would not know any different than if this was general hospital in the small Minnesota town where I grew up. The people make the difference and no ill or fear small or pandemic level, inhibits the extreme hospitality and nurturing. Came here with COVID and struggling with shallow breathing. The staff coached me to strengthen and exercise my lungs. With less oxygen, less medication, 0 anxiety and eventually 0 panic, their encouragement helped me turn the corner in a a quick recovery and I’ll forever be indebted to their dedication and patience. The treatment plan was state of the art and they stopped at nothing to ensure full recovery.
My mom was admitted through emergency last night. I am here with my mom and while the nurses said that they are “so busy” , I have been here for hours and witnessed them on their computers talking about politics, the internet, or their social life. Meanwhile my mom has not eaten all day allegedly because she “might” have a procedure. It is now 6pm and still no “procedure” and no food. I have asked the nurses to please follow up. I don’t blame the staff as much as I blame the poor administration. They either don’t care to work the floors themselves so that they can assess what’s really going on or they know what’s going on and still don’t care. By the way, most hospitals in my experience are similarly poorly run. Remember The “bell curve” ? this institution is on the back side of the bell curve. Poor Naples - such a lovely place to live and yet a third rate hospital. We’ve had a few very nice nurses but they have such limited information about what is actually happening. In response to questions that they can’t answer , I get a lot of “I think it might be.....”. The administration needs to be changed and the BOD - they are not doing this community any favors by maintains the status quo.
I am new to the area, and had to take my daughter to the emergency room on 11/17/2020 and it was the most horrible experience one could have had. I saw nurses treating the elderly with disrespect. A registered nurse came to take my daughter's pressure and in the middle of doing it told us that she will be right back that she had to do something first....she never came back. ER rooms did not look clean. The people that are running this hospital should all be fired. We went in at around 2:20PM and did not leave until 7PM and this is with my daughter not seeing the doctor. They were able to take a blood work and they kept telling us the doctor will be here in 30 minutes....he or she never came. We told the nurse we were leaving. If you have loves ones that you dearly care about, do not take them here. While waiting we met a lady who was also waiting many hours who told us that she had a heart attack not too long ago and she went in that day because she was feeling chess pains....would you believe no one had taken care of her properly in over 4 hours? STEER AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL !!!!
