When we first visited this place i was surprised at how big it was because for some reason i expected it to be smaller. The castle is beautiful and you can get the taste of life by walking through it. In the end we had a fantastic experience when the people at the museum showed ys how medievil siege engines worked. We really liked the trebuchet firing water ballons in the valley below.

Incredible view.
A really nice and big fort at the top of Narni, you can get inside with a 6 euro ticket, which also gives you access to the Eroli museum, down in the village. An outstanding view of Narni awaits you inside by the terrace of the fort, and several rooms telling you the history and folklore of the town. This fort is but one of a list of several made by Cardinal Albornoz to reorganize the states of the Church, after the Papacy moved from Rome to Avignon during the 14th century. There are Italian guides who will tell you about the history and more information about the fort, and I believe there are audio guides for foreigners. A really nice experience, totally worth its price, together with the museum.
Terrific place for walking in nature, but usually too many dogs unleashed around..
Stunning views, beautiful place.
