We were fortunate enough to find this piece of paradise. We were there for a week in the cottage over the school holidays and would have loved to stay there a lot longer. Rosemary and Allan were fantastic hosts as well as there gorgeous dog Bebe (that our son wanted to take home.) There are lovely walks and fishing right out in front which we did catch a couple but threw them back. The King Parrots were incredible as they eat the seed along the balcony fence which is supplied inside. One morning we were given some beautiful figs out of the garden which we had the following day with breakfast. We had breakfast outside each morning amongst the kangaroos. If you need to go into town, it’s not that far which we did most days to explore this beautiful area. The road to Bangalay is dirt and gravel, but it is very well maintained and we had no trouble driving along it. The instructions to get there are are very easy to read and we did it at night. We would recommend Bangalay Cottage and Apartment to everyone who wants to visit the area. Thank you Rosemary, Allan and Bebe for an awesome time. We will most definitely be back. We stayed in in the Bangalow Appartment. If peace and quiet serenity is what you are after......this is the place. The Apartment is huge. On arrival it was spotlessly clean and tidy. It is very comfortably furnished, with plenty of books, DVDs, and cable TV for those comfy nights in. The kitchen has everything you need and a BBQ outside. There are dappled views of the river through the Sheoaks and Grey Kangaroos on the lawn. The perfect spot to launch kayaks. It was an easy one hour paddle to the head of the river at Grumleys Bridge through beautiful scenery with lots of fish, birds and wildlife. We pretty much had the river to ourselves, in four days we saw 4 other boats. Rosemary and Alan are wonderful hosts, providing warm home made bread to get your first breakfast started. When we have time we will be going back.
This is the most pristine apartment and cottage in the very beautiful corner of the world. Hardly any signal or wifi for a weekend of total relaxation, surrounded by nature and water views. Short drive to Narooma yet feels the world away. The hosts are also wonderful and was such a pleasure meeting them! Thanks Rosemary and Alan for a beautiful stay
A fantastic place for a short or long stay. Everything you need in a small oasis on the water, tucked amongst the spotted gums.
Amazing, luxurious apartment. 10/10 views.
While I am showing some bias, this place is gorgeous. If you are looking to go down south towards Narooma you should certainly check this place out.
