We had a 10 night stay recently in Narooma over the Easter holidays. We rented a beach front home which we knew was an older home but we were excited by the peaceful location opposite the beach. We arrived late Friday evening and the house was old as described and the cleanliness of the property was average. We had no hot water the first night of our stay. On Monday 2 days after arriving at 7am the house next door started up with building works and this continued for the next 4 days from 7am till 4.30pm. Loud circular saw, hammering, trucks etc. I looked out from the property to 6-8 work trucks parked across the road, and a crane. I called Narooma holidays and left my concerns with management. No call returned. This was in both writing and voice message. I had to make several calls over the coming week, and was told that they would speak with the owners the following week. No return calls. When I finally spoke with the manager she tells me “sorry we knew about the works but we couldn’t accommodate you anywhere else”. No pre warning.. no apologies. I was made to feel like my concerns were not validated. Quite frankly my holiday was ruined, I wanted a peaceful time away but instead I had to put up with living in a demolition zone. This company were happy when we paid them for our stay.. my advise is use the other agents in the area for holiday rental. It has now been nearly 2 months since our stay and unlike the response to my review stating they will be in contact with us they still made no contact. Enough said.
