Naturally spectacular views of the fjord, harbour and Narvik with nice big cable cars containing 10 seats each. Exquisite to breathe in the crisp air up there in winter.

Simple and warm with plenty of seating - great staff on the train for the quick trip through the beautiful scenery to the unevenful border crossing.

Nice little ski resort with AWFUL parking. Parking by the gondola is tiny. If you follow Google maps, it will lead you up a muddy, awful dirt road to a tiny parking "spot" with no markings or instruction. Unfortunately this is the parking, and from here you ski down to buy your ticket. If you follow 1.5km down the asphalt road as the sign says, there IS a parking garage. This is employee parking only. Lift operator said that people constantly complain about the parking. No one seems to care. No shuttle from the major hotels either.

Winter is the best time to visit Narvik, Norway. Best to visit by Train (via Kiruna, Sweden).

The train station in Narvik is cute. It is very small and a wide open area. We nearly missed it in thewinter time were everything was covered in snow and you could not see the tracks. And there was no train there. But altough small you should visit it. Don't expect too much, just a cute little train station.

Beautiful mountain with an equally beautiful sight. Covered in snow for most of the year
