This is a monument from beginning of the World. In rough mountain country giant cave opens its mouth. You go inside and see replica of giant ground sloth called Mylodon darwini. Fascinating.

Most people just go the main cave, the biggest one, and that by itself is pretty exciting already, but the place it also offers two other caves, smaller in size but as or even more impressive than the main one. There's also a gaze up the hill where you can see and have a better understanding of the glaciers that shaped this area.

A must visit place, if you are in Puerto Natales. There are a 3 caves, the trail connects all of them. The biggest one is enourmos size and very impressive. There are informative and educational boards along the trail as well as really nice group of animal sculptures (actual size) who once lived here. Have fun!

It's a 5. The cave is on the way to Torres del Paine from Puerto Natales. It is a short (5 minutes tops) walk from the parking to the cave. The walk is lined with quite a few signs with information and life size cutouts of ancient, extinct animals. The cave itself is huge. It has a 3d depiction of what the mylodon looked like. Since bones and skin were found in the cave, they know its size. We were there about 35 minutes but we didn't go to the other caves nor the top of the cave where they say the views are great- but after going to Torres del Paine, we didn't think these views would be better.

This cave is massive! I loved walking around it! There are several stops along the trail with information about the history of the Mylodon Cave and the animals that used to roam around here. This was a great stop along the way to see the Torres Del Paine! I would definitely recommend stopping here! You can see everything in less than 30 minutes!

Good stop over on the way to Torres del Paine. It depends on your guide as to how much you learn but worth the detour. It costs CLP 8000 per person. Typically can spend about 45mins here at the most. Good coffee and light snacks at the gift shop.

Nice place. An important discovery for the south americans. It has a statue of the mylodon in it as well as other important animals for the region back then.
