On a Sunday, you can visit the upper levels to get view across the river to the city. This could have been fantastic but the windows are covered in many small dots making it difficult to focus on the view behind. From a photography point of view, this is also hard but if you move to manual focus and set it to infinity, you can actually get a better view than using your eyes! This could have been solved by simply having a narrow strip around at a sensible level above the floor so people can see out without these dots. To visit, you first leave your belongings in the lockers (1 euro coin that you get back) on the right as you come in. Then go to the desk and get a visitor's pass. Go through the entry gates and then turn left to the more distant lift as this one goes to floor 11. If the lift does not have 11 on the buttons, you are in the wrong lift. The internal contents are very well arranged and it is worth walking down through the building.
The light wooden tables provide a warm and uplifting feeling and the giant windows makes it feel very spacious and let's in a lot of natural light. I love coming here to study. It's clean, clear and calm.
We were surprised when we got to this place. The library is made of glass and looks interesting but strange. But inside it is fantastic. It's modern, clean and bright. There are some free interesting exhibitions dedicated to the history of books
The building is very new and modern. Great place to study or work. Every floor has it’s own working space. On the top there is also nice playroom for the children. It has an awesome interactive room where you can learn some writing history on a really fun way.
Excellent library! Visitors can go in to walk around or work with a free pass received at reception - locker storage and coat check for belongings. Great views of the city. Very bright and welcoming atmosphere. Worth a visit.
