A very good museum with a considerable ATO section. I was pressed for time and did not get to lower floors. English speaking tour guide available.

Bedt military history museum in Kiev. Do not miss the exhibition about the war in the east. It is very good.
A lot of thing what to see, and what to find out, from Scytian times untill now War in Donbass.
I wanted to go here so bad but I didn't have the time. Next time I will.
Great venue and exhibition of history of Ukrainian military glory.
Excellent and revealing experience. Cery detailed reconstruction of military and warfare on Ukrainian teritory, from the dawn of history up to nowadays confluct in Eastern Ukraine. Interesting armory and armaments, as well as uniforms - a lot of original pieces from end XVIII century to modern days.
The National Military History Museum is often overshadowed by others, but that is an incredible shame. It's one of the best military museums that I've been to in Europe, for a myriad of reasons. First of all, it's highly accessible. So cheap for the content it has, and in a really nice location opposite Marinsky Palace. I cannot say for sure, but there looked to be decent wheelchair access, too. Secondly, a lot of the exhibits are in English. This is unpredictable in Ukraine, but this museum has enough to not dismay English speakers. Then, there are the items on show. The ground floor is composed of many historical artifacts, from proto-slavic/tartar/cossack histories, which are underrepresented elsewhere. The first floor has items from pre-bolshevik rule, alongside some more modern post-independence exhibitions. Then, we thought it was over. I'm glad we lingered, as a very helpful guide opened a closed door, and led us through what makes this museum truly special. Hidden away on the first floor, are a series of rooms chronologically organised from WW1-WW2. You'll be hard pressed to find some of these historical records elsewhere, and it's an incredible visual spectacle. When you think that's over, you go upstairs. And see an amazing history of 2014 onward. For those of you who have watched Winter on Fire, read news regarding Luhansk/Donbass/Crimea, or are interested in modern history, this is a must-see in Kyiv. I've written about the conflict in a variety of contexts, but this exhibit is what truly cemented the realities of it in my mind. Overall, a great 2-3 hours to spend in Kyiv.
Very good place to visit in Kiev Ukraine
