A very nice museum, you can get a better insight into Bulgarian military including history. There are several exhibitions i.e. white weapons, guns, orders etc. Outdoor, there are plenty of airplanes, tanks, cannons etc. The reduced ticket for all exhibitions was 6 leva. Would highly recommend!

The museum is housed in 2 buildings and shows the evolution of military art in Bulgaria. It has beautiful exhibits and useful information, even if quite nationalistic.

A wide arrange of large military vehicles. Tanks planes rocket launchers and supporting vehicles. Cool to see. Only the museum displays inside do not have any English translations. That is too bad. Therefore 3 starts instead of 4.

Nice place, if you like the free part before the entrance, then you should enter. It is a huge collection, not everything is English but without the audioguide we could follow the complete Bulgarian history. The audio guide would only add to that, but isn't recommended if you don't want to go that in dept. It is completely worth the price, especially as student (2лв).

One of the most spectacular museums I've ever seen, it is simply overwhelming through it's richness of information. After more than 4 hours spent there I decided to just take pictures of the rest of the artifacts and study the pictures at home. You start from a huge yard with an open air free museum exhibiting cannons, tanks, MIGs. You then pay 12 lev to visit the whole museum (including the weapons exhibition at the last floor, a very good price considering what you get). Then you reach the inner courtyard where even more war machines are to be found. The museum itself is ridiculously rich in exhibits, there are literally thousands of uniforms, medals, paintings with military themes, weapons. Photos without blitz are allowed everywhere including the arms expo on the last floor. The curators did a splendid job of organizing a massive amount of exhibits in chronological order and the staff will point you in the right direction each step of the way. 10/10 recommended

A must museum to visit in Sofia. A huge variety of military trucks, tanks, helicopters, aircrafts of various periods of time. Free entrance on the outside and 8 leva per person for the 3 floor building. The fourth floor is an extra 3 leva for anyone who wants to visit it. Nice and clean atmosphere. The personnel lucks of politeness. The only disadvantage of the place.
