Haytor National Park is vast and beautiful! The day we visited it was rather windy and it drizzled which gave us a massive bright rainbow at our arrival! But thanks to the wind by the time we reached the outcrop of rocks the rain clouds had been blown away and the sun shone. What beautiful views we saw. Would definitely recommend a trip here. If you like walking it's a walkers paradise. Mind the few holes about as they're tripping hazards but in the whole fairly easy walking. The uphill climb gets the heart rate going but it's well worth it. There is Moorland Hotel close by to reward yourself with coffee and cake after being outdoors in the fresh air. Go visit Haytor it's beautiful scenery.

Full of interesting books, gifts and memorabilia relating to Dartmoor's history, wildlife, animals and walking routes. I bought a map of circular walks, various small books on the history and archaeology of the Moors, a beautifully illustrated 'Dartmoor: Essential Nature Guide' and a jar of Devon honey produced from flowers of the Teign Valley. Well worth a visit and purchases help to support Dartmoor National Park in looking after this area of outstanding natural beauty.
A useful starting point when visiting Hay Tor. The staff are friendly, the shop (and toilets very clean). They stock a reasonable range of products from local honey, soaps, books, soft toys, cards and maps. Make sure you do the walk to Hay Tor, the view is spectacular.
Beautiful peaceful place with a chance to see and even pet some cows and horses. You can climb the Haytor rocks for a nice few of the valley
It being few minutes from our house. This is the most beautiful place to walk our dog. So peaceful
