Specifically the vet Elizabeth Thorsen, so miserable with no empathy, has no people skills at all, she needs to learn how to talk to people about such a delicate subject. Ok for simple issues, but if it comes to cancers or serious issues don't bother, many different vets who read off a rushed poorly written brief history riddled with spelling mistakes of animal and give their “advice”. Important things that i had mentioned not even in the history of the dog, was told my dog would die within 6months over a year and a half ago but still going, mentioned a lump on the 18th of December 2020 but was conveniently not noted in the history and has grown considerably, these guys just read from a script, have no empathy or attention to the individual animal. If you want a personal and caring service who don't rush you and know how to talk to their clients go to RIVERSIDE VETS in Tuckton, these guys are amazing and positive, my dog has had an amazing surgery and is on the mend.

I am so pleased with the service. Our cat Jazz had surgery for castration and I was amazed how quickly he recovered, I brought him home that afternoon and he just started playing, no issues with the wound and it was like he never had anything done. The price was very reasonable, staff very friendly (despite the whole social distancing measures) and yeah just everything perfect. Thank you so much!

This busy little vet practice is based in the old Lloyds Bank building at the bottom of Pokesdown Hill. Parking outside is limited, but you can usually find a space on one of the many side streets nearby. The staff are friendly and pleasant, we have been going here for about 5 years with our two Border Terriers and they have always been well cared for and seen quickly if they have needed any non routine treatment.
