I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Neal to any of my friends and family. I found myself on the wrong side of the law in what turned out to be a very serious situation. I contacted several lawyers in the Portland Metro area and he was the easiest to talk to and the most sympathetic to my situation; not to mention his fees were MUCH more reasonable than many of the others. He is very approachable in the office and on the street in conversation but once he gets into the courtroom he switches gears. I never once saw him stutter or stumble on anything the DA or the judge had to say. He had a fluid response and a plan ready at every turn in the case. There is no doubt in my mind that his professionalism and knowledge in the courtroom was the reason the judge allowed me a civil compromise (even though according to the judge, my case was ot what the civil compromise statute was meant for\).
