Excellent! My kids are happy!!! Perfect for a family vacation! Beautiful view also of the mountains and rivers. Wonderful hosts! Especially the guy who has no hair I forget his name but excellent service! Highly recommend and good German beer

Everyone is really friendly here, the Bistro has beer and a good few dishes (also for kids). The location is great, you can get a boat that goes just pass the Schloss so you can get a great view from the river. There are also supermarkets really close by. And a massive trampoline for kids

Super location, right on the river. Don't arrive between 12.00 and 15.00 hrs, the barrier will be closed. Pitches are smaller than usual. Showers and washrooms could do with updating. Unusual free dishwasher. Onsite Bistro. Local ferry will take you to Heidelberg 9 (worth a visit) and the local train back is just 2.50. Also there is an easy walk along the river (either side) to the next town.

Lovely site right on the river Neckar just 10km from Heidelberg. Man at reception really helpful and speaks English. The shower/toilet block was clean and modern but up quite a few steps which could be a problem for some people. There is a bar and beer garden on site overlooking the river. You can order bread for the morning. Wifi is extra 2 per day for 1 device. ACSI card is accepted and paid more for a pitch right by the river for 26 per night and that includes 4km electric. The small town of Neckargemund just a few minutes walk from site has restaurants, supermarkets, banks and petrol station. You can get bus, train or boat into Heidelberg or cycle along the river but that is on a busy road some of the way. You can cycle through the forest which is similar distance but hilly in parts. Heidelberg is a beautiful town and worth a visit.

Ample space, grass is well maintained. You can get a spot on the river... Very friendly personnel. They even speak Dutch.

The waterplaces are really cool. Pretty nice for camping and relaxing. The bathrooms are a bit annoying due to Covid-19 rn

We had the great pleasure of visiting this spotless campsite located 10 km outside of Heidelberg in the nice suburb Neckargemünd. I can only recommend this family-run campsite. It has its own restaurant, has very clean sanitary facilities, friendly staff and is located ideally on the shore of the Neckar river with the green mountains in the background. I visited with my wife and two kids aged 5 and 8 and playground facilities is the only thing, where the campsite could improve. It doesn't have a swimmingpool, but 1-2 km away from the campsite you'll find the most beautiful (and clean) Freibad (outdoor pools) in Kleingemünd - the entry doesn't cost very much. You might have to book a slot prior to your visit and get a QR code. In Neckargemünd you'll find a nice old town center with a handfull of nice restaurants and an ice café near Hanfmarkt (walking distance) and a patio located right next to the pier wieving the river and Kleingemünd in the background. You can go by boat (I'll recommend doing so) to or from Heidelberg to Neckargemünd or take the bus 35 from Hanfmarkt/Neckargemünd just 500 m from the campsite. It runs very often. There is an S train connection too, that we did not use though. We found this place a better option than the campsite located closer to Heidelberg, but in the middle of nowhere. Except for the playground facilities I can really recommend this place in any way. That is why I rate it with four stars instead of five. :-)
