This Sri P. Sreeramulu Statue erected in a well known Place and busy Traffic road near to Atmakur bus stand of Nellore, Sri P. Sreeramulu Born and belongs to Nellore, He died after 52 days Hunger Strike for Telugu separate State in India on the basis of Linguistic division. He was so Honest and simple man. Really the great. Pitty is that we can't stop vehicle to watch this great man's Statue, nearby no Parking lot.

Nellore District, played main role in the formation of Andhra Pradesh. Sri Potti Sriramulu garu, fasten for 52 days and died, then only Andhra Pradesh separated from Madras and become a state. He was born on 16 March-1901 and died on 15 December- 1952, follower of Sri Mahatma Gandhi. He also taken part in a movement called Harijana Devalaya pravesam and Harijana sahapankthi bojanam. Recently Nellore District changed its name to Sri Potti Sriramulu District.
