Had an fabulous day out with Pacific Blue Charters. Thanks to Skipper Brad for an awesome day. And Nick, you are fabulous! You work tirelessly and looked after everyone all day, we can’t thank you enough! We would highly recommend your charters. Our fish are now on the BBQ!

Good laugh skipper worked hard to make sure everyone caught some fish great time and everything you could want from a fishing charter
A perfect charter service for people who are new to fishing and just want to give outside fishing a go. Nice people, easy to talk to, they know how to get fish and realistically it's a cheap half day charter. That said, for a practiced angler, especially one who has done a number of charters, this isn't for you. The boat really isn't setup for the size group that was on it, 9 people on a deck fit for maybe 4 to 6 at most with no rear facing seats. To make up for this you'll spend the whole day drifting and bottom fishing with dead bait and far too much weight in order to stop tangles from fishing 2 feet from the next guy. I get you need a fair amount of weight to get the bait down, but there was so much on the line you can't feel when you've been baited. The gear itself is well and truly "average" and in need of service, the reel was stiff and clunky, the rod actually felt like there was a crack in the handle and the fluffy faded braid had another knot every 5 to 10 metres where they'd fixed the line from dozens of breaks. No live bait fishing, no lures, and no other bait than cut up slimey. I'm giving it a 3 because it wasn't horrible, we did catch a small handful of just over legal fish. But there's so many things that need to be improved or fixed. Omg and puggie (deck hand) if you're reading this, don't take rods off people when they've got a fish on. You're a top bloke but FFS mate, let a man win or lose his own battle. Just because I accidentally booked a Fisher Price "my first charter service" doesn't mean I'm a child. Again, here's a 3 because you're trying, but everything the 1 star reviews say do have merit.
This charter is one of the worst I have ever been to. Don't go if you can. The crew were only interested in collecting their premium fee before anyone boards. The trip went for 6 hours, only one hour was fishing and the rest was just cruising and catching bait fish. Hardly anyone had caught anything. The seas were rough, but the crew decided to go in open seas anyway, so most of those on the boat were constantly vomiting, and one person went overboard. The crew was so worried about their fishing gear you would think the gear is more important than the those on the boat. At the end of the trip, they started cleaning the few fish that was caught, the cleaning was so bad that they did not even scale the fish properly and I had to clean the fish again when I went home. All this is just a taste of how bad the charter was. Avoid this charter if you want to enjoy a fishing day.
Went with a group today on Dr Hook boat. Had a great day on the water, and plus they put us on to the fish! I would recommend this fishing charter!
The boat is perfect for a fishing charter and the crew know what they are doing. I catched three snappers last week. Thanks Pasific Blue! (The Turk)
Good experience, we caught a few snappers. Douggie/Puggie (?) was a top bloke and gave us a good laugh
Abysmal charter service....spent most of the day trying to catch slimies then proceeded to drift bottom fish through fathoms of baitfish. Esky contained one two litre bottle of frozen water and no pillies or any bait provided, Captain never came out of the cabin all trip. I understand it's a massive tourist destination and they've got a somewhat captive market but this boat is God awful. Worst charter of my life by far.
