Loved it/them! First time there..won't be my/our last! Great BBQ food with good sized portions AND prices! Plus, we loved the adjoining \Grandpa's Saloon.\ BOTH my wife & I, were very pleased with our experience in both places.

We drove an hour over here as I had heard good things about their BBQ but honestly, I wouldn't drive 15 minutes to have it again. I ordered the meat sampler and none of it was even that good. The brisket tasted like pot roast, the ribs were ok but they were very dry, the chicken was good once you took the rubbery skin off and I can't even describe the pulled pork, it wasn't good. As a certified BBQ judge, somebody who cooks BBQ on a weekly basis and somebody who takes vacation to go to BBQ joints across the country, I'd skip this one. Only reason I would go back is the whiskey selection, that was impressive. As for the food...the cheese curds were the best part.
I really hope it was an off night tonight w the kitchen, but our experience was awful..Ribs were way overcooked..they were blackened and fell off the bone and dry..The brisket was overcooked as well..no smoke ring, dry and in little pieces. I was actually surprised that someone would have even plated it-but i gave it a try..I will say the coleslaw was one of the best I have ever had to be balanced. I would have asked for a new entree but the server didn't come back for 20 min after the food arrived. Not sure I would try again unless it is free this time..Was excited to try as I has heard a few good things..but a serious letdown.
BBQ better than Memphis or Kansas City! J J's is worth the drive !
So good! Celebrated my mom's birthday by going out to eat here. Highly recommend! We will be coming back for sure!
