Really friendly staff and owner. Weekend Benny's are a must! Had the salmon benny and the daily special benny. Sweet crepe wasn't really my taste, but still nice.

5 stars doesn't happen often for me because the business has to do many things, and so them all right. The Vienna Cafe hits nearly all of the right buttons for me, but considering it's in Nelson, I'm giving it full stars. The food is great, the ambience superb, and the service friendly.
Beautiful little spot very homey and cute. Wonderful addition of a bookshop gives you a fun place to wander while you wait for a seat while it rains outside. The food was amazing, the Benny's alone are worth the trip but nothing like the bone broth to heal the soul. It was so good we bought the broth to bring home! Definitely worth visiting.
Usually love to give these guys my business, since the food is good. However, the customer service seems to be declining. In an almost empty cafe, waiting to be seated, trying to catch the eye of one of the servers and being willfully ignored is not a great customer service move. I have worked in the service industry for years and know that the #1 rule is , even if your with another customer, you ACKNOWLEDGE the one who is waiting. Let them know you've seen them, and will be with them. Rather than being passive aggressively huffy when the customer eventually seats themself, with a \ next time don't do that\ little comment. In a town with so many choices, I won't be giving them my business again.
Lovely breakfast. Friendly service. Good value.
