A small shop with huge potential! After receiving a tour of the facility during work hours I have come to the conclusion that this company is severely hindered by three key things: 1)\tInexperienced management. 2)\tEmployees that are fatigued by broken promises and a lack of leadership 3)\tInefficient processes The production manager has definite machining experience but is very inexperienced when it comes to the management side of things. He is described as being very friendly by his employees but doesn’t get involved in the shop. The shop supervisor came off as being uninterested. He didn’t seem like he wanted to be there at all and his lack of interaction with the employees was astounding. Employees commented that he didn’t do a whole lot of supervising and he spends most of his time in the restroom. The most knowledgeable person I talked to wasn’t a part of the management team or even a supervisor. He was a young machinist that had just come from another company. As I customer I wouldn’t expect a multitude of on-time orders from this company.
