Older arena, but super friendly staff. Ice surface and benches are still on great shape.

The Howard Darwin Centennial arena (Formerly Merivale Arena) is an arena that is used for hockey, lacrosse and broomball. It is small but a nice arena for minor league or recreation players to come and play for a game. The arena has one concession stand and a couple of vending machines inside a fairly small lobby that is located right when you come inside and before the actually arena (Similar to Bell Arena in Nepean) The seating Bench is a typical bench but with it being supported by stands, also the spectating bench is located on one side with 3 sections to watch the game. There are 2 official lacrosse teams that play in this arena, The Capital Axemen from the Quebec Senior Lacrosse League and the Nepean Knights from the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League. The two teams do a great job in making sure your entertained GREAT lacrosse action inside a typical arena.

Great rink. Dressing rooms are a bit small but totally useable. Parking is plentiful. The playing surface is very well lit and the ice is great. It is also a very popular arena in the summer for lacrosse. The cantina is great with a good selection of snacks.

Clean but cold! Went to watch a friend's son play. I do not understand why arenas skimp on their hydro! Many of the families watched the game from inside the staging area where the temperature was warm. Put the heaters on for the families! We have small kids and grandparents...why only during tournaments and adult games? Popcorn was expensive, too....4 dollars less than 2 cups? For that price, they could pay to run the heaters a little more!

Decent rink... Rooms are small...and shower head position are odd...two heads that face each other as opposed to beside each other..but they have recently been tiled

Ice was in great condition, but minimal seating was available for putting on skates during Public Skate
