I moved in a few weeks ago and have to admit that this has been the best rental experience I've had yet. Homestead does a great job maintaining the property (landscape) and interior maintenance is also done well. I had a few minor issues with my unit that didn't affect my living, but they got addressed within 48 hours of submitting my service request. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. The building itself is kept clean, and while it may be inconvenient in the interim, they are performing a full renovation of the parking lot and garage. It's clear to me that Homestead cares about the property and the quality of living that is provided to the tenants.

I worked and lived her for over a year. I loved this place! Some of the people giving a bad review have the wrong Homestead property, FYI. Bug free, if we ever encountered bugs we got on it right away because we pride ourselfs in keeping the building clean.
I'm just about to move out of here. I lived here for a year and a half. I'm moving as I wanted to get closer to downtown. I'm a pretty laid back guy, so most of the problems with the building haven't effected my day to day life. Pros: - Affordable - Spacious - Presentable - They eventually fix things - I've had no major concerns that effect my day to day life and I haven't had any bugs or anything Cons: - All employees that were here when I moved in a year and a half ago are gone - They take a long time to fix things unless you are persistent - At one point they spot primed the hallway with white paint (hallways are painted brown) and then didn't actually paint it back for 4-5 months. It looked horrible - My 85 underground parking spot has pipes that drip on my car

Used to be a nice place before homestead bought it and put in HORRIBLE management. Couldn't get out of there fast enough, same with many other residents including long term ones. Had 5 good years with Minto and (better) Vertica and then 2 years of resending service and maintenance with Homestead. The underground parking is literally falling apart, had a chunk of concrete hit my car falling from the ceiling, homestead clearly turned down the boiler in the winter so had to use space heaters constantly, asked to have my defective FIRE ALARM replaced for 1.5 years to no avail, elevator inspection was out of date for months etc etc.. Their shoddy maintenance is going to end up with someone hurt or worse.
The outdoor surrounding area is nice. This place used to be managed by Minto a few years ago. Now it is run by Homestead. Good luck trying to call and talk to anyone there. It's impossible. The current landlords in the building are incompetent and trying to get a hold of Homestead management doesn't work since you have to leave voicemails that they never answer. Don't rent these apartments-bad management and I can show my pictures of the shabbiness of it, example overflowing garbage that sits around for 4 days
This place is awful. If I hadnt of been so sick the last couple years I would be out. The building has switched hands so many times in the last 7 years, that not much (if any) maintenance has been done. It takes forever to get anyone into your apartment to fix anything. I have been living with a disgusting clogged/leaking sink, a broken toilet and a huge fire saftey issue- i've had to use the tips of my fingernails (from day one-9years) to unlock/lock deadbolt. In nine years no one has come to fix that, with numerous written requests. The laundry room is not enough, closes at 10:00pm. And the WHOLE main floor STINKS to high heaven from the garbage room because its NEVER taken care of. They do not care about this place therfore it is a nightmare to live here. Also the office staff are not there for your needs what so ever. I feel bad for the person to take over my place because it needs sooo much work, but they want to rent it right away....there are major bug problems with this building as well. Thats a below "poor" raiting!
