Staff are so helpful, kind and compassionate. One Concierge saw my Mom was sad and tearful and she comforted her. I so appreciate the kindness my Mom receives from staff. It truly is a caring and loving team.

We are so happy that our Mother chose Viva! They keep her very busy with their activities. Mom especially enjoys the fact that they have live music weekly. Our mother is always in good spirits which has alot to do with the surroundings and interactions. Their safety measures duing Covid-19 are beyond excellent and have kept us reassured. The staff is wonderful and they keep our loved ones happy and safe!

Viva Barrhaven was my father’s home for a couple of months while he recovered from a leg injury. This beautifully decorated three year old retirement home is a wonderful place to live or recover. With its high ceilings and bright spaces, it feels more like a resort than a retirement home. The staff also adds brightness… everyone makes an effort to provide great service. Viva offers both independent and assisted living, and tons of amenities (pool, gym, hair salon, theatre, library, games room, simulated golf, bar, etc.), along with delicious meals. After visiting a few retirement homes, I was surprised that it didn’t cost more than the others. I highly recommend Viva!

I stayed 1 week in respite care while recovering from major surgery. I would recommend it to anyone looking for convalescent care. I found the price very reasonable considering the meals and excellent care. I needed help with basic tasks like dressing and showering as well as some wound care. The nursing staff were terrific and came very promptly when I pressed the call button, which works no matter where you are in the facility. They responded much faster than the nurses at the hospital. The place is new and beautiful. My room had a big fridge, electric kettle and microwave. The common areas are bright. Everything is very well designed for people in a wheelchair or walker. The meals were delicious and the staff all very attentive.
