Very lovely service, and the food was enjoyable! We went at quiet times so we had mostly the place to ourself. The side dishes/ appetizers could be worked on. The meat was pretty tender and seasoned lightly .. it comes with sauce to add more flavour. I enjoyed the beef short ribs a lot. You’ll have to grill all the meat yourself of course but that’s part of the experience!

It was decent. I felt like the grill isn't used to the maximum potential, if the grill was a bit higher and the heat was turned on higher, or the heat source was lower in the system, there would be a larger space to properly grill on. Other Japanese BBQ I've been to were able to use the entire grilling space. The meats and sauce and spices were good though.3.5
This is probably the only AYCE Japanese BBQ place in Ottawa. They have a huge variety of meat cuts. To order your food, you simply tell your server the specific items that you want from the menu. We tried out a whole selection of meats and ended up having to figure out which meat was which. From the items that I could decipher, the beef rib eye, short rib, pork sausage, and pork belly were my favourite. The meat here did not appear to be marinated at all but they do have a sweet soy sauce you could use or MY FAVOURITE... the cumin spice mix.
Good quality meat, nicely marinated. Servers are friendly and helpful, and seem to care. The waitress changed the steel grill a few times. The guy behind the bar was sincere as well. Restaurant is clean and new. I was very satisfied with everything. Was expecting bibimbap to be in a stone bowl, but it wasn't. Still pretty good. Loved the throwback ice cream in the little containers with the wooden paddle spoon. I would go back.
Really good experience! Everything tasted great and the atmosphere was nice. Also there were plenty of ventilation, so it didn’t feel like you were choking haha The reason why I took off a star was because they messed up our orders a couple of times despite being the only ones there for a good hour... aside from that, the server was very attentive and changed the grill twice without having us to ask. They also have sesame paste sauce if you don’t like the dry seasonings soy sauce mixture- you just have to ask. Overall, I’d highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for something other than Korean bbq!
Great atmosphere. The grill is a bit small, only the center really cooks, the edge really doesn't heat up. They have tons of variety of meat which all taste delicious. Tons of veggie options. This one staff with baseball cap and dyed blonde hair was super nice!
Most other diners were Asian, which is a good sign. The food was very tasty, the price was reasonable, and it was a great experience to cook your food on a grill in the middle of the table. I have food sensitivities and there was a good selection of food that was unseasoned and safe :)
Probably the oddest restaurant I've been to. No alcohol, the servers barely introduce the process, even less after after asking for some guidance. There are no marinades for the meat. We asked the waiter if there was one and he kept pointing to the soy sauce on the table. They didn't have chicken for a while because it needed to thaw...To top it all off our waiter came and collected plates with food still cooking so our friend ate what was left off a napkin. Not bad for 30/pp. Definitively wont be returning, so will not recommend.
