Wonderful remains of the genius Romans. We past this spot during a beautiful walk.

Remains of the start of a Roman aquaduct that carried water to Cologne. Still working. They broke up parts of the system to build a train line. This vandalism however gives great windows into the way the thing was build almost 2000 years ago. for history fans. Less for if you are not into old stuff!

Boeiend om te zien dat lang geleden de Romeinen hier al een waterloop hadden. Jammer dat we de Romeinse weg niet hebben kunnen vinden. De natuur in de omgeving is trouwens ook de moeite waard.

Beginn der ca. 90 km langen römischen Wasserleitung nach Köln. Ab hier kann man dem alten Verlauf über viele Kilometer folgen.
