We hired a driver in Rome and arrived at the cemetery in the early afternoon. It was Columbus day and didn't realize it was closed, as it is every US holiday. The on duty intern greeted us and drove us to the grave of our relative in a golf cart. He was incredibly sincere in his expression of gratitude for the sacrifice of American boys in the war. We asked if would be ok for us to leave flowers...he replied "this place is yours...these men bought and paid for it. Please allow me" and he prepared a holder for the flowers. He then took sand from the golf cart and filled in the letters engraved in the stone for us to get a good picture. The place is immaculate and shows the respect the people there hold for our guys. It is an amazing experience. I highly recommend going there to show your own respects for those who died for us.

Great visit! The grounds are extremely manicured and the staff provided us with English pamphlets to explain the grounds. The special memorial rooms are closed because of Covid, but looked pretty through the gates. It is free to enter and no reservation is needed.

Clean cemetery, worth to visit. For real history lovers, so tragic and sad ...From Rome you have train to Nettuno, from central station to memorial center about 15 minutes distance, easy to find, and entrance is free. I walked from Anzio to Nettuno about 1 hour ....

A fitting tribute to all the service personnel that lost their lives in the Second World War. Maintained beautifully, with ground staff continually tending to the gardens. Well worth visiting to admire this location. Respect to all the fallen. Peace.
