I made a spontaneous stop here after visiting the adjacent botanical gardens. I loved the collection and curatorial style of this museum. A collection of works by Martin Disler (another Swiss artist, contemporary to Dürrenmat) was on display, and they went very well together with Dürrenmat's works in the permanent collection. They both dealt with haunting, mystical topics and figures. Add to that the great architecture and views of Neuchâtel lake, and you get an outstanding experience.
