I'd give it more stars if the website accurately posted that it was entirely closed. The castle itself is quite lovely though.

Beautiful catsle with lots of interesting history. I do recommend to try the guided tour inside the castle!
That place has so much history (first parts build as early as 1011), that it carries a lot of memory. Those well kept walls and building kept their memories too, allowing you to sink into those early moments. The view from there is magic, Neuchâtel as a town has a lot going for it, waterfront, old architecture, a city with very special vibes. Loved it
very nice, they should take care better, unfortunately there is a lot of garbage around the walls
Beautiful, stunning, easily accessible from train station. Worth going and walking around in a little park. Great views.
You won't regret hiking up the hill. It's worth it. We had a lovely tour inside of the castle and the prison tower. Super informative and seeing all of the old, on-going history scene was impressive. We will definitely come back and have a closer look next time.
Lovely old Swiss Castle. A very imposing building with lots of sandstone used in its construction. There is an old Monastery area at the back which has a beautiful garden and interesting archways to walk through. There is modern art in the courtyard of the castle and all of the signs are in several languages including English.
A nice old castle with good views over the lake of Neuchâtel. Don’t miss seeing the statue of the man from the enlightenment pointing an open book towards the door of the church; the sight of it was very very symbolic and meaningful.
