Authentic Korean food place just a short walk away from Sindang Metro Station, with a beef hotpot that is really good. The staff don't speak English much but they have a menu that is partially in English. But just go for their signature dish which is like a beef hotpot that costs around 17,000 won per person. Totally love the soup and meat portion and if you're feeling hungry, ask for an extra bowl of rice. The place has a very rustic feel to it which only added to the experience. Only gripe was that the food was a little expensive. But other than that we enjoyed our dinner here!

They serve greatest kimchi and meat boiled for hours which is great. you can actually see them boiling when you enter the place. I would suggest cisitors come here. Season your own soup and you can ask for more.

One of the oldest restaurants in Seoul, was how it was described to us by my friends. We walked in and the place felt rustic. When people think about Korean food, they normally think about BBQ but to me, this is truly Korean food. Broths, to extend the small portions of meat, with side dishes and rice. Peasant food. The broth, in these types of places can be rather delicate but this place had some depth. I'm not sure how they achieve this but it tasted great. I ordered the main dish which has cow's foot/knee. Lots of cartilage, fatty gelatinous bits and parts that aren't for the faint of heart. My wife, had the more mainstream dish with glass noodles and brisket like cuts. When you get the dish you MUST MUST MUST salt to taste. Otherwise it will seem very bland. They had a very coarse salt that looks like it's mixed with rock... very interesting and very delicious. You also put heaps of green onion that should just be on the table. These two things are a must. They also served this spicy soy sauce dish for the meat. SUBLIME. Really kicked it up a few levels. You also have a bowl of kimchi and radish kimchi. You scoop this out with the tongs you're given and you cut it into more manageable pieces with the scissors they give you. I've had lots of seolleongtang in my life and this was definitely one of the better experiences. It's not to everyone's taste but this is really authentic when I think Korean food.
