New to the area and have been searching for my new local for the past 2 months. Went to this unassuming hole in the wall bar and the vibe was great. The owner of the pub was very welcoming and shared a laugh or two. Sweet bar! See you next week!

Love this bar! Staff are friendly, has a relaxed vibe, and the craft beer and cocktail selection are on point. Decor is cool, you can tell they have made an effort to bring their personality into that. I've been coming to Honey Rider occasionally for a few years and they have maintained their standards and I have adapted to being COVID-Safe very well. Thanks for the good times HR and for making me feel safe.

Good for a drink after work or dinner, good brews and range of craft beer - plenty of space now that the extra area to the left is added with nice low light. Nice crew and some live music.

Phil and his team accommodated my group at the last minute when our plans fell through because of the crazy heat last weekend!! Everybody had a blast... afternoon of great music, fab cocktails and exceptional service :)

The Honey Rider is my favourite bar in Sydney. The staff are fun. The owner, Phil, is incredibly accommodating. I especially love the cosy atmosphere he has created with his eclectic taste.

Honey Rider asked my friends and I to leave as they were advised that we took other patrons’ belongings. In full disclosure this is partly true and the belongings in question was a tin of Eclipse mints. I noticed that a group of people had left the bar and left behind a tin of mints. I took hold of the mints but was later advised by two women that the mints belonged to them and it constituted “theft”. I promptly returned the mints to them and believed that would be the end of the matter. Shortly after, staff of the Honey Rider advised us that we were required to leave because it was not acceptable for patrons to touch other patrons’ belongings. We were not given an opportunity to explain ourselves and were told that the girls who lodged the complaint against us were “long time friends” of the bar and this was the end of the story. We left the bar as ordered but I feel this was a heavy handed and one sided response.
