My eye glass frames broke right in the middle of the frame on Friday 8/31. I called Wal Mart Vision and the lady I talked to was very helpful! The Eye Dr was only there 2 days a week. NOT Fridays! But she told me if I came in they have many frames, and we could try to find a match for my lenses. I cant manage with out my glasses! So even though I was doubtful, I went. I didnt think at the time to get her name but the person I spoke to was a young, blond pregnant lady. She spent a considerable amount of time helping me find a very reasonably priced frame that my lenses fit perfectly! She was very patient, professional and thorough. I would highly recommend her! She certainly saved my day!

I opted to take my children to the walmart vision center in Nevada, MO because I don't have insurance and it seemed like it was the most reasonable price (for eye exams and glasses). I was quoted 65 for each eye exam PLUS the cost of glasses. The price of glasses will depend upon the frames, etc that you select. Okay, I get that. Two of my children were interested in contacts and considering they're teens, I said okay because they are both responsible enough to take care of them. I talked to the doctor (I don't remember his name) and expressed their interest. He explained how they \try them on\ to see if they can even get them in and out of their eyes before we'd order any. I was okay with that, seems reasonable, right? WRONG! At the end of the appointment, the young lady rings up my order and it's almost 300 (for 3- 65 eye exams). I objected to the amount and asked why it was so high. She told me it was because two of my children \tried on contacts\. They charged approximately an extra 75 for my kids to \try on\ something. When it was initially explained to me, the doctor made NO mention of additional cost (and we discussed the fact that I USED TO have insurance but lost said insurance which is why I was there and not with our our normal eye doctor). I assumed that they had some cheapie, disposable contacts for people to \try on\ to drum up business for glasses AND contacts. Bottom line, I feel ripped off. I had to pay it because they had the contacts in their eyes for a whole 3 minutes before taking them out and saying they hated them. Had I known it would be 75 extra to \try on\ something, I would've said no because I didn't have the money. Good-bye groceries because that was our food budget for the week.

Don't go there at all. The worker her name is Kelly doesn't help you at all.
