Very interesting menu. Don't know much about Singaporean food but it seemed authentic. Service was very good.
Fabulous food! Extremely authentic and perfect flavour. Every dish we ordered was delicious! This is a new gem in Delhi
Mai Bao, recently opened at Commons, DLF Avenue, has come up with this quirky mix of cuisines in a well crafted menu by none other than @jemnguee who has further trained the team and now chef nitinn is very well taking things forward. Must try dishes are Soupy dumplings, Laksa, Rendang curry and Pork Cha Siu. Also, the beverage menu has been designed by ,Rockstar Ankur chawlaa and we are eagerly waiting for the liquor license to try his beautiful concoctions soonest. Pricing is good.
I was looking to try some different cuisine on this Valentine and came across this place while wandering in the mall. The place is kind of beautiful and cute at the same time as they have worked minutely on every detail of the place whether it is Walls or the chairs or the windows. Let's move on to the food: Ordered Pomelo Salad - My friends are found of Salad and on server's recommendation we started with this - it is a citric Fruit like Lemon but bigger in size, in Hindi it is called Chakaotra. It was a bit tangy for me but my friend enjoyed it. Yam Puffs - Puffs with yam Puree and spinach inside it is a good combination and loved it do try it if you are a vegetarian. Popiah - Kind of Singaporean spring rolls wrapped in rice paper crepe. They were really good topped with garlic chilli sauce. Mushroom Bao - It was juicy filled with flavours and the one who likes Mushroom can go for it. In one serving, 3 baos are served with mushroom patty ( kind off) and quite fulfilling. in the Mains, we had Singaporean curry ( can't recall the exact name) with Jasmine rice and bang it was just perfect, we keep on eating the combo until got finished absolutely loved it. In Desserts we tried their Opera Cake and coconut desserts. Both the desserts are must try without giving any 2nd thought. The place is beautiful, cosy and perfect to enjoy some Singaporean food. After lockdown, I was moving out and was really happy landing in such an amazing place.
#NewInTown #JMFlashReview Mai bao - cute, vibrant, quirky and youthful interior with visible kitchen. Tucked in the newly opened common, restaurant wing of DLF Mall Saket, food is inspired from Singaporean street food. You will find different types of baos with various fillings. Singapore has influence of different Asian countries and that reflects in their food. A variety of great dimsums, and lots of salads also reflects Asian influence along with lots of sea food and fish dishes. Bao and pork dish both need to be worked on. I am also excited for their bubble cocktails which has been done by my dear friend Ankur Chawla. They don't have liquor licence yet. Chef Nitin - Looking forward to visit again soon. My pick - Singaporean chilli crab, prawn ball skewers and Lamb Rendang. #EatWithShylock #urbanescapades #theurbanescapades #ShotOnOnePlus #JustManeesh #MaiBao
