like
Satpura Hostel is one of the 11 boys hostels of IIT Delhi. It is one of the newer hostels having being built in 2004. It is located in a very nice location as all the key places of IIT are very close to it. It has all the basic facilities and the food is also above average here. The rooms are livable but small. Satpura is a small hostel with only around 600 residents. It has all the indoor games and a very good TV Room. It is my second year here at Satpura and I am loving and cherishing my every moment here.
It is called the oldest hostel of the latest hostels. 3 students per room. Good facilities available.
Provides all facilities that a bachelor needs plus cooking staff is very cordial
1 People: It’s not the hostel but its inmates who bring life into the daily humdrum of college life. Satpura hostel is characterized by the congregation of intellectuals and pseudo-intellectuals who have discussions that run late into the night, their futile attempts at cooking edible snacks, not to mention the pre-exam day panic among students and all that goes into the fascinating prospect of having your friends around you at all times. 2 Freedom: No discussion on hostel life is complete without throwing in terms like ‘freedom’ and ‘independence’. Though lacking in space and privacy, one does get the all the time in the world for the pursuit of happiness here in order to make the most of college time. 3 Mess Food: Avoid. Whenever possible. They serve yellow water on Thursdays and claim it’s curry. But it’s the perfect place for joyful conversations. 4 Extra curricular activities: In cultural activities this hostel is legging in comparison to other hostel , however it has good records in sports and athletics. 5 Infra structure: Good. Since it is one of the newly constructed hostel. But hostel management is poor.
