We had an excellent time and meal. The naan was as big as the photos look. The beef dumplings and kebabs a highlight. Handled our big group well and made us feel very welcome. Thanks!
tried Bamiyan as a date night idea close to my home, was pleased with the overall experience. food was well prepared with generous serving sizes and staff were helpful and attentive, happy to say, i would go back for sure.
We have dined at their Camp Hill location for years and decided to try their new New Farm location. The sign on the door said closed, but we walked in anyway and were seated for lunch. Although an approx 45wait between ordering and receiving our meal, the food was flavourful, authentic and consistent to their Camp Hill location. Will be back.
One of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time. When the meals were brought out I knew we were in for a treat. We'd ordered the Banja Boranee eggplant dish (my new favorite dish!), the Sabzi spinach, Palak Perikee Afghani flat bread, Garlic Naan and Kubuli Rice. We'd both been given fresh mint yogurts dips each. The Garlic Naan was huge! The flavours and spices weren't the convetional ones as found in popular Indian or Chinese recipes, so the tastes and textures were novel and excitingly different. I found my self savouring the flavours as I ate, pausing, wondering, trying to process the source of my sudden delight. It was a hardy and delicious meal, during the initial couple of spoonfuls I knew wecd had to come back! It was so wonderful to discover this little gem in the suburbs, was very pleased!
Food was delicious but service was lazy and the restaurant was dirty. We had to ring a door bell to be seated, to get a menu, to place an order and to pay our bill. When cleaning my toddler's mess off the floor there was a lot of food on the ground that was not from her And the wet wipes were black from dirt. Came back an hour after we left to get the water bottle I forgot, and our leftovers were still not cleared from the table. Maybe try take away.
It's hard to find details for the New Farm restaurant on their website, as most details relate to their other Camp Hill location - but it's definitely worth tracking this place down. At the time of writing, elements of the website - especially the testimonials and incorrect spelling of "Camp Hill" - looked a bit sus, and the New Farm restaurant's phone number is currently only visible on a desktop (not on mobile devices). However, everything I ordered was amazing - keen to try out more of their menu.
A few times been there. Never tried afghanistan food in my life but really enjoyed their food from the first time. Food is always tasty and lots portion of each dish. Always take away leftover. Their Nann is AMAZING!!! Wish them to be popular for many people and keep run their business in New Fram.
