I have been in Iwan with my family a couple of times and I enjoyed spending time there. Iwan brings Iranian handcrafts which are beautiful and special, and English and Iranian books as well which are selective and exceptional. Also, painting and Iranian calligraphy are extraordinary there. Most importantly, a couple who run Iwan are a nice family and their hospitality is amazing. They have made a happy and good vibes there. So, I would highly recommend Iwan especially for Iranian families who try to keep our language and culture in our community here.

They say "home is where the heart is..." Being so far away from my geographic home, this phrase rings true when I sit and enjoy a nice cuppa at Iwan's. Tina & Iman's hospitality is so warm and authentic that you have no choice but to call them your long lost friends. Between their bold & custom brewed coffee, Adult Book Club, and lively music, I will gladly spend my here. May this place be home for all my fellow intellectuals.
Bright, welcoming and intimate atmosphere with a lovely selection of books. Looking forward to going back. No toilet so you have to cross the road and use the facilities at Brunswick Hotel.
Very calm and joyful atmosphere cafe/bookstore with extremely welcoming and friendly service. Iwan has a range of delicious drinks and snacks on offer, including beautiful rose and saffron tea (my favourite). There are beautiful books and other cute items as well as play room for little ones. I travel to new farm just to come here. I couldn't recommend it more!
Iwan is a must-go place in Brisbane. It’s amazing to visit this place, read books, have a coffee and above all have a chat with Taraneh and Iman who I can speak to for hours about any topics. Rarely can such cafe/bookshop be found in Australia. It has a collection of the best books in Persian, English and even French with many activities for yourselves and kids. You can also find the finest handcraft from Persia. Iwan is a treasure which should be preserved with our support.

The atmosphere is incredible, you could stay for hours just looking at everything. The books and board games there are absolutely stunning and so unique. I'm so glad I stumbled across this little gem.
This is the most coolest cafe/bookstore I’ve seen in Brisbane. The quality of coffee is amazing and the owners are too lovely. You get a super chillaxing and lively vibe from this place. There is an amazing collection of Persian and English books, handcrafts , CD and DVDs. You can enjoy various activities beside having your coffee including playing chess or backgammon. There is also a designated room for kids playing and book reading. I only wish the price of Persian books were a bit lower, of course it’s understandable how difficult it is to supply those books here....but if they were more affordable I would love to buy heaps of them
