I would give 0 stars if I could. I was recommended by my Buyer's Agent a year ago when I purchased my investment property and literally had the most painful year with TESSA "managing" my property. I swear I never even knew who my property manager was as they always changed and I was never notified. I could NEVER get onto anyone there via email or phone and they basically never got anything done for me apart from receiving rent and transferring it to me. I should've known from D1 when they got my settlement date completely wrong. They did one inspection the entire year and then when I emailed to ask if something could be fixed, as per usual I could NOT get any response out of anyone. Even the woman in charge of all of the property managers would not take any responsibility or help me out when I finally went to her for help..... so the culture there is bad from the top down. THIS COMPANY IS THE PITS!!!!! A GINORMOUS WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!! I have thankfully changed to a different property managing company and have got more achieved with them in 3 days than I did in the entire year I was using TESSA. Thankfully my Buyer's Agent no longer recommends the use of this company due to the shocking amount of bad feedback they have received over the past year. Please learn your lesson from me people- they might be a tad cheaper than other agencies but it's by no means worth the small savings.

I inspected an apartment this week in Teneriffe and the girl who met with me was so rude. She didn’t speak to me the entire time and when I asked a question she would answer with a short yes or no. I felt rushed and so uncomfortable. She stood at the door when I inspected the place and when I asked if I could see the roof her response was “sure.” Not inviting and definitely doesn’t love her job. Thanks but no thanks! Learn to sell.
Tessa has been by far the best Real Estate that I have rented a property from. The staff are the most communicative, responsive and considerate I have ever experienced in the industry. I have left a message regarding a broken item in the home and returned from work that same day to it having been fixed. Will really miss the high quality of their service and their courteous approach whenever I have to rent from another agency. Of particular note is Joanne Nicholson - the most efficient and competent agent I've met.
If I could give no stars, I would. The high staff turnover means you receive emails from someone different on an almost monthly basis, and fundamentally means they drop the ball. As the property owners, we were asked in December whether we were happy to extend the lease, which we were. The lease ran out 2 weeks ago and we still don't know where it's at. No one returns calls. No one replies to emails. The manager was meant to call me back 5 days ago and still hasn't. You can't even get through to reception and because people are constantly leaving, the desk phones are never answered. Avoid like the plague. We will be going elsewhere to find new tenants.
What a breath of fresh air Tessa is! I enjoyed renting from Tessa a lot. There wasn’t an issue too big or small that they wouldn’t help with. It’s not often you have a Real Estate who will ensure both Tennant and owner is looked after. Thanks guys!!
When I first started renting with this company all was great. A problem arose when my rent money was being returned to me. It seems DEFT is no longer used. Now I have to travel to the office to pay my rent because I don't have a visa or master card. They wont give me a bsb or account number so I can set up a direct debit. Why is that ???
I have several properties managed by Tessa My main criticism is that I find them very reactive to issues related to my properties. On one occasion my property was without a tenant for quite a while and the property manager had not called me, had not discussed options such as a rent reduction and it took me to call her to several times to find out what was going on. On another occasion i rang to find out why my water rates had jumped 300% and they never returned my call which cost me 600 in extra water rates because it was never addressed I find that unless I call them and almost threaten to withdraw my properties that nothing gets done.
Tessa residential has been the best real estate I have ever dealt with. Prompt with responses, kind, friendly, understanding and works equally for the tenants and the owners. Nothing was ever too hard and we always kept them informed of issues with the property and they were dealt with accordingly. Thanks Tessa, hope my next place is rented through you!
