Wandering through New Farm, Tour de Tea will catch your eye, with its striking green shopfront emblazoned with its signature typewriter-esque font. Stepping inside, you’ll immediately notice the impressive array of teas on display - each with a little sample for one to smell (half of the fun of visiting). The way in which the shelves are lovingly arranged - beautiful teapots paired with matching airtight containers and decorative books - gives a sense of the quality work and attention to detail you can expect from the family that owns and runs this charming little establishment. At the counter, Hannah, or her sister Amy, will invite you to sample whichever selection of teas they’ve prepared at that moment, and will take the opportunity to impress you with their formidable knowledge of the craft, as you nod and attempt to hide your ignorance of the art and science involved. If you’ve come with containers prepared, they’ll happily weigh out exactly as much as you need, and if not, you’ll leave with one of their beautifully-prepared resealable packages (or perhaps several). And you’ll definitely be back. I know I will - there’s still so many different teas to try, and each time, a different array of teapots to admire!

Tour de Tea is an outstanding small business for so many reasons. Firstly, the teas sourced by Amy and Hannah are different and delicious, and will definitely leave you wanting more. So it's handy that their online store is simple to use and, in my experience, the orders are generally despatched same day. But the best part of Tour de Tea is Amy and Hannah themselves. These young women are knowledgeable about their products and go out of their way, literally, to be helpful. Excellent tea and outstanding customer service. Whether you're after a great cuppa for yourself or a special little gift for someone else, this is a small local business that deserves to be supported.

I walked into Tour de Tea one day on absolute whim and I'm incredibly glad I did. This place is straight bliss for any tea drinkers. Notwithstanding the beautiful little setting in Myrthe Village adorned with tea vessels, Amy and Hannah have brought sooo much experience to what goes in my cup. Literally every tea stocked on the shelf carries reason and a story which they both go into incredible detail about, with a tasting and sometimes a diagram to make sure it's the right one. The amount of craft and care into their product is just supreme. Thank you so much!
